Doubt is not the opposite of Faith

… that true faith flowers from and through doubt. If you never questioned your beliefs, – you are just a puppet dancing to somebody’s strings. If God had wanted your mindless obedience, you would’ve been created without mind and without free will. But you have both so you can come to God of your own accord. Just look at the lives of saints, – most of them had gone through a dark night of the soul, and that’s why their faith was so strong. The path to true faith always goes through doubt. So ask those questions you’ve always been afraid to ask, and find the answers, and then your faith will become unshakable.

I question everything.

I seek for credibility and authority.

I like Science.

I’m a fan of Philosophy.

I don’t easily believe in people’s “interpretations” and that includes MY OWN.

And yet there are some things that I cannot doubt.

I believe in Christmas.

100%.

I don’t see anything pagan in it.

I haven’t met a Christian, or a Catholic in particular, worshiping the sun in my entire life.

Pagans worship the sun. Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus.

What is the connection between the two?

I believe Christmas is a beautiful celebration.

And it is in fact VERY BIBLICAL.

The virgin gave birth.

Joseph obeyed.

The angels rejoiced.

The prophets foretold.

John the Baptist leaped in his mother’s womb.

A Savior was born!

What is not to celebrate?

How can we not celebrate?

:)

I know it is impossible to calculate the exact date.

But does it matter?

Really?

Prove it.

:)

Please don’t get me wrong.

I am not saying these things to spark a debate.

I have a very deep respect for other people’s faith and beliefs.

But there is a condition.

You also have to respect the things I believe in.

If you can’t engage in a CIVIL discussion, or if you are “brainwashed” then forget about it.

After all, it doesn’t concern me whether you believe in Christmas or not.

I’m pretty sure you have your own reasons.

The only thing that matters to me is that I am one of those many who will rejoice at his birth.

:)

whenever i am sick, i take the communion why?

“only say the word, and i shall be healed.”

    That’s faith.

    “Oh but I
Need some time off from that emotion
Time to pick my heart up off the floor
And when that love comes down
    Without devotion
Well it takes a strong man baby
But I’m showing you the door

‘Cause I gotta have faith…” -george michael
